We aim to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Ghana Nutrition Improvement Project (GNIP). It is said that optimal nutrition is essential for the success of all the SDGs. From this aspect, the GNIP is relevant to all goals of the SDGs.

Goal2:”ZERO HUNGER”

In this goal, there is a concrete target as follows. “By 2030, end all forms of malnutrition, including achieving, by 2025, the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting in children under 5 years of age, and address the nutritional needs of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women and older persons.” We are tackling malnutrition among children under 5 years of age through dissemination of nutrition knowledge and supplying a protein and micro-nutrient powder, named “KOKO Plus”.

Goal8:”DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH”

We are working on this important issue from the aspect of localization. Use local raw material; The main ingredient is soyabean harvested in Ghana. Produce in local factory; “KOKO Plus” is produced at Yedent Agro Foods Processing Company in Sunyani, Ghana. Add to local traditional foods; “KOKO Plus” can be added to any complementary foods. We respect and want to protect local traditional food culture.

Goal17:“PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS”

We know that we can’t do it alone. We think it is quite important to collaborate with many stakeholders in order to solve social issues. We are building our social business model through Public-Private Partnerships with the government of Ghana (Ghana Health Service:GHS) and many other stakeholders.
